The Steam build ships zero achievements. What the game tracks in its own score and objectives system, and how to track runs yourself.
Sengoku Rance Achievements: None on Steam - Track Runs Yourself
Sengoku Rance has no achievements at all. The Steam release of October 1, 2026 lists nothing, so there is no trophy list to 100% and no notification will ever fire. What the game does track is its own score, a six-row objectives board that pays out points, and a Game Progress Info screen that unlocks on your second playthrough. Those three are the real completion checklist.
Why there is nothing to unlock
Four independent checks, all run against the live app on October 4, 2026:
| Check | How it was verified | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Store page listing | Fetched the full store page (139 KB of HTML) and counted the word | 0 occurrences of "achievement" in it |
| Steam feature flags | appdetails API for appid 3867170 | Only Single-player, Steam Cloud, Family Sharing. No Achievements category |
| Achievement data | Same API response | The achievements field is absent entirely |
| Community stats page | steamcommunity.com/stats/3867170/achievements | Returns Steam Community :: Error |
That last row matters most: Steam serves that error page for apps with no achievement set, so the platform is confirming the absence rather than serving a dead link. Nothing external fills the gap either — the store page carries no DLC row, no trading cards and no Workshop section, and the appdetails record has no dlc field.
Steam achievements live in the publisher's Steamworks backend and are granted by Valve's servers. A total conversion or save editor running on your own machine cannot create one. If you want more from the game after a clear, read what external mods actually add instead.
The Steam news feed for appid 3867170 returned an empty list when checked, so no patch announcement exists as of early October 2026. Achievements are a routine post-launch addition, and the demand below makes it a live possibility.
The demand is real even though search volume is not
Google autocomplete returns zero strings for "sengoku rance achievements". That is why no guide site bothers with this page. The demand shows up somewhere more reliable: the review feed.
Of the 71 English reviews pulled from the Steam appreviews API, 7 ask for achievements, and all 7 are positive reviews:
| What players wrote | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| "The only thing I wish we had are achievements! I WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW THE THINGS I'VE DONE." | Wants a shareable record of a completed run |
| "I want steam achievements and items in the points shop." | Wants a tracker and unlockables |
| "add achievements pls, so i can 100% the game again" | Wants a replay checklist, not a score |
The second quote is the tell: players are not only asking for a badge, they want items in the points shop — a real in-game system, covered in the New Game Plus guide.
The score is the only tracked value in this game that can go up on a replay, which makes it the closest thing to an achievement counter.
What the game tracks instead: the score
The counters the game does keep are the ones on the campaign status bar: commanders owned, total troops, satisfaction, gold and turn number. That bar is the closest thing this game has to a progress tracker.

Your score starts at 60 points on a first playthrough and loses 1 point per turn. It hits zero and stops there; it does not go negative. A first run ending at exactly 0 is the expected result, not a failure. Objectives feed into it, and the starting value depends on difficulty:
| Difficulty | Starting score |
|---|---|
| Standard | 60 |
| 1 Star | 120 |
| 2 Stars | 150 |
| 5 Stars | 200 |
Only your highest score ever counts, and it funds the bonus shop on later runs: available points equal that best score plus 5 for each of the four routes you can actually finish, and buying every option costs 315. A bad replay can never shrink your record.
The six objectives that actually pay points
Objectives are optional — clearing the game requires none of them, which is why older guides rarely list them. Each pays score instead:
| Objective | Points | Catch |
|---|---|---|
| Slay Orochi | 10 | Cannot be completed on the Kenshin route |
| Character Clears | 2 each | Only counts characters still in your Commander List at the end |
| Beat the Youkai King | 10 | Impossible if you took the Dokuganryu bonus pack |
| Journal record | 10 | The Steam build changed what counts toward this one |
| Six Great Treasures | 10 | Unreachable on a first playthrough |
| 30,000 total troops | 10 | A money problem as much as a combat one |
Character clears are the grind objective, at 2 points each. Six Great Treasures needs Inukai, who cannot appear on a first run, and the Orochi row is route-locked — a Kenshin run writes off 10 points permanently. The routes reference covers when that route forces you.
The "Journal record" row is the one to distrust in older material. The official Steam English build is the censored release and rewrote what this objective counts, so a 2006-era or fan-patch guide walking you through it describes a system that no longer works the same way. The Steam version differences guide has the rest of the renamed terminology.
Game Progress Info is the closest thing to a trophy list
From your second playthrough onward, Game Progress Info becomes a normal command available in every province you own. You need at least 1 action fan to open it, but it costs nothing and you can read it as often as you like each turn.
The catch that matters for tracking: it only updates after you finish a game. Mid-run it shows last run's marks, not this one's.
| Section | What it records |
|---|---|
| Route Completion | Six routes, including Monkeyslayer (added in v1.04) and Archfiend |
| Difficulty | Clears on 1 Star, 2 Stars and 5 Stars |
| National Mode | A clear on any clan, plus two challenge battles that only appear once beaten |
| Others | Fewest turns to finish, journal record, fewest turns in National Mode |
| Character Clears | 61 named entries with their own completion marks |
| Dungeons Cleared | A checklist of 21 dungeon sites |
| Special condition checks | Side conditions such as clan surrenders and event outcomes |
The character list is explicitly not exhaustive — the wiki says so itself — so treat it as a floor, not a total. Archfiend is flagged as a MangaGamer-version entry, and whether it survived into the Steam build is unconfirmed.
Build the tracker yourself
Nothing here is exposed to any overlay or third-party service, and no public tool is documented as reading it. Tracking is manual, and the manual part is small:
- Copy the six objective rows and the Game Progress Info sections into a checklist outside the game.
- Write down your score at the end of every run — that number only survives in your own notes.
- Tick off the 61 character clears and 21 dungeon sites between runs.
Steam Cloud is enabled for this app, so saves follow you between machines. Your checklist does not, and it is the only record of a completion Steam will never hold for you.
What is verified, and what is not
The store page, the app record, the community stats page, the news feed and the review sample were all re-checked against the live app on October 4, 2026. The score rules, the six objectives and the Game Progress Info screen come from the community-maintained AliceSoft Wiki, built against the 2006 Japanese original at v1.04 and the 2019 MangaGamer English release. Those are the numbers 2006-era guides use, and no published source has verified them on the Steam build.
Official source: Sengoku Rance on Steam — store metadata as of the 2026-10-01 release, no achievements section and no DLC row present. The objectives, score and Game Progress Info details above come from the community wiki pages on Objectives, Game Progress Info and Second Game bonuses, all of which document the pre-Steam builds.
FAQ
Does Sengoku Rance have any Steam achievements? None. The store page lists none, the app record carries no Achievements category, and the community stats page returns a Steam error page — the standard response for an app with no achievement set.
Can mods add Steam achievements? No. Achievements are registered and granted by the publisher through Steamworks. External mods and save editors cannot create them.
What is the closest thing to an achievement list? Game Progress Info, available from your second playthrough. It tracks routes, difficulties, National Mode clears, character clears and dungeon clears, but only updates after you finish a run.
Is there an expansion that adds achievements or objectives? There is no DLC at all for this app as of the October 2026 release, so nothing external adds to the list.
